Logistics:
The cooking portion of each camp will include a session on each of the following topis baking, fermenting, knife skills, making creative and healthy drinks/snacks and more! Each day we will make our own lunch and eat together family style 🙂
The crafting portion of camp will be unique every time. This could include sketching, painting, making and using looms, knitting/sowing and more!
We also incorporate healthy movement, outdoor times on the patio of the Riverside and trips to the Boulder Creek which is directly adjacent to The Riverside (with parents permission).
We will also include one day at a local farm to learn about how the food is cultivated and grown and enjoy crafting outside on the land.

All food, supplies, and materials included. Kids will also take home all their crafts and often take home food that they made!

We will send an email to inquire about preferences and special needs/requests the week before camp begins.
Sliding scale and scholarships are available for families who need assistance.
If you would like to donate to a scholarship fund while enrolling your child you can click the drop down menu when donating and if you select “Help start a scholarship fund!” That will be a $105 donation and will go to support children who need financial support to enroll. We aim to have at least 2 kids on scholarship each camp.

Meet your kitchen experts…
Ben Powell and Nicole Sheppard
Ben and Nicole have been working together in the kitchen since 2017. They love experimenting with food in new ways using seasonal, local, and biodynamic foods whenever possible. Between the 2 of them they have 30 years of teaching children in the kitchen and love to get kids to have new experiences with food and incorporate healthy foods into delicious meals.
Meet your arts and crafts experts…
Jessica Opfer-Bechthold
Jessica has been an artist at heart her entire life. After many experiences in life and in her career she has turned to it full time. She is an accomplished water color painter and incorporates art into nearly every aspect of her life. She is a yoga teacher and dancer as well 🙂
Each camp will feature at least one “guest” art/craft teacher. We have experts in plein-air painting, pottery making, knitting/crocheting
